12 May Make the Most of Your Space: Use Every Single Room in Your Home
Every home has that one room that, no matter how hard you try, is always 10 degrees hotter or cooler than the rest of your home. This can be extremely frustrating to homeowners because they feel they can’t use that room year-round. Sometimes the use of space heaters, fans, or a window air conditioner can fix the temperature, but homeowners may just choose to close off the room and have underutilized space in their home. Why spend extra money on electricity when you already have a heating and cooling system that is supposed to provide you comfort?
Homeowners don’t need to suffer any longer thanks to split-ductless systems. It can be used to control the temperature of one room, improving comfort and reducing energy costs. There are two main components to these ductless cooling and heating systems: an indoor unit that is mounted either on a wall, floor, or ceiling, and an outdoor unit that houses the condenser that collects the water vapor. The two components are connected by a small tube rather than ductwork, and offer cooling and heating in one system, which makes these units easier to install and far more efficient than window A/Cs or space heaters.
Split-ductless systems are an effective solution for homes that have:
- Livable attics or basements.
- Sun rooms that homeowners want to utilize year round.
- Garages that have been converted to a living space.
- Rooms that aren’t the same temperature as the rest of the home.
- Guest rooms, rec rooms, or other rooms that are only rarely occupied.
